Community Action

LITTER PICK

Sat 12 April — 10am

Meet at the Microsoft Flagship school gates. Last time we filled 40 bags! Tea and biscuits after at the hub. Everyone welcome — even reluctant teenagers.

Gardening

Plant Swap!

Sunday mornings, Bertha Loch path

Bring what you have, take what you need. Seedlings, cuttings, and the odd bag of compost. Completely informal — just look for the trestle table.

Just Moved In?

Welcome to the neighbourhood

Download our welcome pack for new residents — bin day calendars, bus routes, where to find the best coffee, and who to call when you need a hand.

Regular Event

River Almond Walk

Every Sunday — 9am

Dog-friendly, buggy-friendly, hangover-friendly. We go at the pace of the slowest member and always stop to look at the herons. Usually about 90 minutes.

Everything on in and around Bertha Park. Add yours by emailing hello@berthapark.org.uk.

We're a group of volunteers who live here and want Bertha Park to be the best neighbourhood in Perth. The estate went up fast — we're making sure the community keeps up.

We organise events, liaise with Perth & Kinross Council, keep an eye on planning applications, and generally try to make sure no one feels like a stranger on their own street.

The residents group is open to everyone. No fees, no forms. Just turn up, get involved, and bring your best casserole to the next street party.

Founded: 2021, in a field that's now someone's back garden.

"I moved here not knowing a soul. Six months later I've got three people I'd trust with my house keys."
— Fiona, Osprey Crescent
"The loch walk on a winter morning, herons in the mist, kids throwing stones — nowhere I'd rather be."
— Hamish & Donna, Almond Drive
"We got flooded in January. Half the street turned up with mops. Never felt so looked after in my life."
— Priya, Birchwood Avenue
Important Notice

We need more hands on the noticeboard.

The residents group runs entirely on volunteers. Got two hours a month? Can you organise a plant swap? Willing to attend the occasional dry council meeting on our behalf? We'd love to have you. Bring whoever moved in next door — they probably want to get involved too.

No commitment required. Come to one meeting. If you hate it, no hard feelings.
